Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and pleasant, but unfortunately, they were directly above a generator or extractor that hummed loudly, making it noisy. The lack of heating was also a downside. The service was lovely but lacked attentiveness at times. The location was great for visiting family and exploring local attractions, although some noise disruptions were noted. The dining experience had its ups and downs with good and not-so-good moments. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
Our stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room had a really nice large bathroom with a sunken jacuzzi bath, but it was in desperate need of refurbishment. The service from Linda and Rose was exceptional in keeping our room 215 clean and tidy, although the overall state of the room was not in good shape. The location was great for exploring Cardiff and the surrounding area, but it was a bit difficult to find and had some peculiar surroundings. The dining experience was more than enough for us, with excellent quality dishes, although the noise from the aircon outside was a bit annoying at times.
The hotel offers comfy rooms at an economic price, and the self-service Toby style buffet every weekday night is a hit among locals. However, the rooms were a bit noisy due to thin walls and an adjacent generator. The hotel would benefit from some updates. The service was top-notch with friendly and helpful staff who even returned our forgotten clothing. The location is convenient for work, although it's situated in an unusual housing estate. The dining experience was a mix of positives and negatives, with delicious offerings but limited selection. Overall, a simple yet decent establishment with excellent value for money.
